How to use Shower Gel - The Himalayan Yeti

Introduction

When one thinks about taking a shower, the first thing that probably comes to mind is soap. After all, for the longest time, it was the only product that made you feel truly clean after taking a bath. There exists a product very similar to soaps known as shower gel.

Difference between shower gel and soap

Soaps are a sort of fat mixed with salts, some other ingredients and a base which is then cooked to remove moisture. When applied to the body, this fat acts upon the dirt and grime in our skin and extracts them. This is then washed away using water. Invigorating Shower Gel is a product that works similarly to soap.

The manner of production is the only difference. While, a process called saponification is responsible for the soapiness of a bar of soap. In the case of shower gels, their soapiness comes from compounds extracted from plant-based sources or petroleum.

Many people prefer shower gel over soaps because of its moisturising property. Soaps are generally known to leave the skin dry. Most shower gels can also be used on hair as a substitute for shampoos.

Types of shower gels

There are a few types of shower gels you can choose from based on your skin type.

  • Shower gel: As might be evident from the name, these are gel based and are perfect for people with oily skin.
  • Body wash: This is similar to a shower gel but has a watery consistency. It provides slightly more moisturisation. Thus, it works well for people with oily skin.
  • Shower cream: As you may have guessed, shower creams are cream based. Like other cream based products, these work well on people with dry skin.

If you suffer from sensitive skin, look for products that mention “for sensitive skin”. The Himalayan Yeti has a gift for all the people with its Invigorating Shower Gel. It is suitable for all skin types and will truly make you feel invigorated with its hydrating elements.

This shower gel for men with its strong masculine aroma is bound to make the women around you flutter.

Steps to use shower gel

Having figured out which product might gel (please tell me you got that) well with you, using a shower gel is pretty straightforward.

Wet yourself

(Not in that manner)

Wet your entire body with lukewarm water. Avoid hot water as it may dry out your skin.

Lather it on

Using a loofah with the shower gel is recommended. Without a loofah to create lather, most of the product will just flow down the drain. Pour some of the product onto the loofah.

Apply to the body

Gently scrub the body with the loofah to spread the lather evenly. Although, the loofah helps in removing the dead skin cells from your body, it is important to not be too aggressive as it may cause abrasions to the skin.

Rinse it off

Again using lukewarm water, rinse off the lather thoroughly. Then dry yourself by patting lightly with a soft towel. Avoid rubbing to dry the moisture as it can scour the skin.
